About Chef Chuck & Main Street Bakery
Chef Charles T. (Chuck) Arnaud, the heart and hands behind our bakery, is deeply devoted to nurturing those around him through the universal language of food. For Chuck, baking isn’t just about feeding the body but also the soul, bringing together the seasonal bounty of our agrarian community with the warmth of a shared meal.
Chuck’s culinary journey is driven by three core values: Community, Service, and Stewardship. These principles are baked into every aspect of Main Street Bakery, from the ingredients we choose to the connections we cultivate. In 2002, inspired by a breathtaking view of the aurora borealis, Chuck took a leap of faith and opened the bakery on Main Street. Despite limited resources and a small oven, the community’s overwhelming support helped shape our beloved bakery. Our logo, crafted by local artist John Lineberger, symbolizes this collective spirit.
Over the years, our bakery grew, collaborating with multiple venues and expanding our team. Emma joined us at the peak of our expansion, bringing fresh energy just before the unforeseen challenges of COVID-19. The pandemic forced us to scale back dramatically, but with resilience and the support of our community we are rekindling our bakery’s spirit.
Innovation is at the core of Chuck’s philosophy. He constantly reinvents our offerings with a minimal, weekly-changing menu that highlights what’s fresh and available locally. This approach not only supports local agriculture but also ensures that our food is as fresh and flavorful as possible.
From day one, giving back has been integral to our mission. Leftover bakes are donated to the local food bank, addressing the critical question, “Why are there hungry and homeless people in America?” At Main Street Bakery, we believe in doing more than just selling bread; we are committed to making a difference in the community that has supported us from the beginning.

“Ordered a surprise cake for my husband’s birthday and it came out perfectly! I chose the 9” cake with red velvet throughout, a crumb coating for the sides, with white buttercream icing and some red velvet crumbles on top. Needless to say, they brought my vision to life!
